GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A developer has pulled the plug on a proposal to build a 10-story apartment building with 432 market-rate units, a food hall and other amenities at 13 McConnell St. SW near the Downtown Market.
The developer, Jon Morgan, co-founder and managing principal of Chicago-based Interra Realty, backed out of an agreement to purchase the four-story industrial building that now occupies the site, said Kevin Bassett, the building's owner and CEO of Spectrum Industries.
