Mum of two, Geneva Vanderzeil, gave her bathroom a warm update by making her own mirror cabinet. To get the luxe look for less, Geneva picked up an inexpensive mirror from Bunnings and created the shelves from some stunning Tasmanian oak timber.
Before and after.
Speaking to Better Homes and Gardens, Geneva revealed that she wanted to create a simple solution for bathroom storage that was affordable but also looked really elegant.
"It was a very simple design with shelves on the wall and a mirror that opens to create a medicine cabinet, and I think it works so well!"
Are you planning to attempt this DIY at home? We asked Geneva if she had any tips for our readers.
"For this project, it's all about measuring properly and taking your time to cut the wood to get it right!"
